Hybrid purity

Cal-SPL offers hybridity testing for many vegetable seeds including tomato,
watermelon, pepper etc. State of the art methods are used to distinguish hybrid seeds from female and male inbreds. Our enzyme and total protein methods include Iso-electric focusing in Hypure gels. Our SSR protocols include PCR amplification and separation of alleles in Polyacrylamide gel. Usually 100-200 seeds of a hybrid are tested.
